Investment Manager

About the role

The Investment Manager manages and develops strategies for the Group's overall investment portfolio, meets with fund managers, prepares and reports on investment analysis, and reviews the Group's investment strategy. The role involves researching new opportunities, recommending changes to manage risk and generate acceptable returns, and providing investment information and financial advice on products such as stocks, bonds and shares.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the sale, purchase and administration of securities and assets for investors.
• Explore portfolio additions and reallocations that optimise risk management and long-term returns.
• Carry out research such as company and industry analysis to inform forecasting, decisions and valuations.
• Monitor regulatory and tax law changes to ensure compliance and seize development opportunities.
• Develop and implement fund investment policies or strategies and manage investment funds to maximise return.
• Prepare monthly investment reports for the Investment Committees and develop risk-based asset allocation models and performance analytics.
• Engage regularly with brokers, investment analysts and fund managers, and present investment opportunities and analysis to investors.
• Use complex financial models to project future earnings and respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Evaluate new products and market opportunities and review the work of others against policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Finance or a relevant field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 to 10 years of working experience in the same or a similar role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Solid understanding of investment procedures.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and sound decision-making.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, networking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership capabilities.
