HVAC Mechanic

About the role

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, operating, and repairing heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the Four Seasons resort. This position ensures guest comfort, indoor air quality, and supports energy‑efficiency initiatives while upholding Four Seasons standards of excellence, safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment including chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, VRF/VRV systems, package units, exhaust systems and associated controls.
• Maintain optimal temperature, humidity and air‑quality levels in guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond promptly to guest‑related HVAC concerns, perform preventive maintenance and monitor system performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders and inspection records in the hotel’s CMMS.
• Assist with energy conservation, system optimisation and sustainability programmes.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations and Four Seasons health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of hands‑on HVAC experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort or large commercial facility.
• Knowledge of local safety standards, refrigerant handling practices and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
